PARS‑Bombesin is a sterile, non‑pyrogen lyophilized radiopharmaceutical kit for the preparation of the diagnostic radiopharmaceutical 99mTc‑Hynic Bombesin. After radiolabeling with technetium‑99m, it is used for SPECT imaging of tumors expressing the GRPR (gastrin‑releasing peptide) receptor. Each vial contains 25 µg of Hynic GABA Bombesin peptide and, after reconstitution, is administered intravenously. This radiopharmaceutical is intended solely for diagnostic use.
After intravenous administration, 99mTc‑Hynic Bombesin distributes in the bloodstream and binds to GRPR receptors on the surface of certain tumor cells. As a result, the radiopharmaceutical accumulates in these areas, and technetium‑99m, through gamma emission, enables detection and imaging of these regions using a gamma camera.
The PARS‑Bombesin®️ kit is manufactured under aseptic conditions. After radiolabeling with a specified amount of sterile, non‑pyrogen sodium pertechnetate injection (Na99mTcO₄) — eluted from a 99Mo/99mTc generator — the preparation is ready for intravenous administration. The dose to be used will be prescribed by the physician.
