PARS‑RBC (Tin++) is a sterile, non‑pyrogen lyophilized radiopharmaceutical kit for blood pool and vascular space imaging. After radiolabeling of red blood cells followed by labeling with Tc‑99m, it is used for SPECT imaging. The RBC kit is intended solely for diagnostic use and for the preparation of 99mTc‑RBC.
After the RBC kit is radiolabeled with the patient’s blood sample and then with technetium‑99m under aseptic conditions, it is reinjected intravenously. 99MTc‑RBC then enters the bloodstream and remains mainly within the vessels. In areas with active bleeding or vascular lesions, the radiolabeled red blood cells leak out of the vessels and accumulate, allowing the bleeding sites to be imaged using a gamma camera.
The PARS‑RBC (Tin++)®️ kit is manufactured under aseptic conditions. After a multi‑step radiolabeling process with a specified amount of red blood cells from the patient’s blood sample and sterile, non‑pyrogen sodium pertechnetate injection (Na99MTcO₄) — eluted from a ⁹⁹Mo/99MTc generator — the preparation is ready for intravenous administration. The dose to be used will be prescribed by the physician.

- Store the PARS‑RBC (Tin++)®️ kit in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C) and protected from light. The cold chain must be maintained under all circumstances.
- After radiolabeling, 99MTc‑RBC remains stable for a maximum of 30 minutes at 15°C to 25°C.
- The PARS‑RBC (Tin++)®️ kit should not be used after the expiration date.
